This is the capstone course for marine biology undergraduate majors, where students 1) explore current topics in marine biology, 2) develop scientific communication skills, 3) complete a research proposal, and 4) learn about marine science career paths.

MBIO 603: Career Skills for Marine Biologists - Scientific Writing
In this seminar, graduate students discuss “The Writing Workshop: Write More, Write Better, Be Happier in Academia” by Barbara W. Sarnecka and “Writing Science” by Joshua Schimel, peer-review each other’s work, and have writing accountability check-ins.
